Who can ever forget Mike rumbling into the northwest corner of the endzone against Nebraska in 1999? That play will always be remembered. Thanks for it, Mike.
And thanks for everything else. Not many people got to see it last year against Colorado, but you were a reception machine in that game. It was sweet.

There is no way to thank you enough for the rumble to the endzone against the Huskers. My roommate is a Husker fan and she hates that play. There was plenty of Mike Jones is your Daddy comments from me and my friends towards the roommate that night.

Mike, a lot of people remember the one play against Nebraska. That was great indeed. I saw your last high school game against Westlake in San Marcos five years ago. That was a game to remember. Westlake had Drew Brees, Brett Robin, Seth McKinney, and Marshall had you. That was the closest game Westlake had all year. You and your teammates were tough. You brought that toughness with you over to the University and used as a foundation for success. Congratulations on being a senior and best of luck to you in the future.

Thanks for your wonderful contributions to the football program over these past few years. Yes, the Nebraska game is the first thing I think of when I hear your name, but I also remember a terrific performance against CU. I also remember your injury last year which cost you several more receptions in what was turning into a really solid year. And this year, you seem to be doing whatever you're asked (I'm sure its been the same every year), contributing to the team's success while losing some of the limelight. *Thank you* for everything; it's been fun watching you play on Saturdays. As a UT alum, and an ex-student trainer for the football team, I can say that I am PROUD to have had you and your classmates as part of our legacy. You gentlemen have been class acts on the field, but even more importantly...off the field as well.

I have experienced that after graduation...the winds that blow carry everyone in so many different directions, BUT, every fall you will again find yourself amongst family, living and dying with every snap, tackle, kick and whistle... be it from the 24th row in DKR or from a Satellite dish in another state. You'll love coming back and seeing everyone again....and hoping the new kids are as classy and hard working as you guys were....and so the baton passes again.
