My wife and I went a couple of weeks ago. We've gone off and on for years. Here's what I recommend:
* They have some decent specialty drinks - Martian and Marstini. Wine selection by the glass is just okay.
* Appetizers - the hummus/baba ganough is very good. Comes with naan bread which is also good.
* Fish - I like both the wasabi salmon and the rice paper wrapped fish (which I didn't see on the menu, but I think they still serve).
* Meat - I like the kafta and the tandoori mixed grill. The mixed grill is a ton of food. And, the kafta is lamb, which I like but I know not everybody does.
* Dessert - chocolate pate is great.
Enjoy.

One of their old chefs left to head up the menu at the new Alamo Drafthouse-South Austin. Needless to say I am ecstatic as all hell for the opening. It will feature a "better" menu than the other locations, including mroe

Is "mroe" a new type of fish egg? Kidding.
I'm glad to hear the new Alamo will have different good. I like what they have now, but get tired of ordering either a burger or pizza.

IMHO they do Mediteranean, Indian and Asian and none of them as good as even a decent restaurant that specializes in one of them. Also, there seemed to be very little "fusion" of the various cuisines, just odd juxtaposition on the menu. I really wanted to like it, and the atmosphere was fine, but the food IMHO was not worth a return trip. Albeit I did go on Friday evening so maybe they were rushed...

Tell you the truth, there is no reason to go there. There is not a single factor about the place which I would rate as "bad", but nothing good enough to compel me to return.
