When did Treanor get injured? I saw note about him being on crutches. TT will get his chances to contribute as they want to keep Molina rested. Nice to hear his defense is still at top level.

Two nights ago, Treanor slid headfirst into first base trying to beat a throw and jammed up his leg or ankle (can't remember which). Anyway, he's out of commission for a while, and Teagarden was brought up specifically for defense, which means Molina will be the everyday catcher.
I'm happy for Taylor, but at least one of our pitchers expressly like to throw to Treanor (Wilson) and I wonder how this is going to affect his mojo.

Hunter likes Molina also. They weight together is over 500 lbs. Just a comment made during warmups.

I saw TT Friday night RR vs. CC Hooks. He has been batting .248 with the RR's. I too hope he can get it done with the TR's - they need his bat to contribute with this pennant run.

I've watched him a couple times with Frisco, and it's been feast or famine with him. He'll have games where he goes 2-4 and throws out a guy at 2nd, and then the next game he'll go 0-5 with 3 K's. I can only imagine any move to the majors will be temporary at best.

he will be a defensive replacement for Molina. If Molina gets on base in the 7th or 8th, you pinch run Arias for him and then put Tea in to C knowing his spot will not get up again.

Taylor is a great catcher. What's going on with him now?

At this moment he is behind the plate in the Oak v. Texas game.

Actually, it was a two run homer with Arias on base who just legged out a grounder for a hit. It pretty much put the game away. Good for TT! Hope he can hit his weight and stay around awhile.

better still, he looked good behind the plate after a couple of innings...they'll need that defense on bengie's days off more than a bat
