It's Saturday and there is a definite police presence here at the stadium. No one is allowed to get near the Texas dugout. After what happened last night, I'm not surprised.
Now, let's win the series today and get the heck out of this dust storm and back to central Texas.

I understand that Bill Little was shoved around by rich techies out of luxury box next to our radio booth and Craig Way could not get police to do anything about it. they said something to the affect that "they give too much money I can't do anything"

Well Little should have thrown his considerable weight around on those Techies and Way should have counter attacked by telling them in great detail as only he can do about every six man football team in west Texas.
I bet there was no such occurrences after today's bloodletting in the luxury boxes (such as that is in Lubbock) or in the cheap seats or by the team bus.
If you invite trouble, he usually shows up.

If God was going to give an enema to the world, he would stick it in Lubbock.

surprised we don't have a response from the all-knowing lecturer (if he is even around anymore)--I can tell you this, my son's Boy Scout troop (including troops from Lubbock and the surrounding areas) worked the large concession stand this Fri and Sat ( and thank you, to those who have contributed to us)--regardless, I parked near to the baseball stadium, with my UT-Ex sticker on the back of my pickup, and each evening, walked around it after the game was over, looking for my truck to be "keyed" or have the tires deflated--pretty shameless to have a reputation like that, if you ask me

Is anyone really surprised? It's sand aggy we're talking about. There really is absolutely no reason to be in that God-forsaken part of the Republic. It's doubly puzzling how we lost to that [censored] team in the first place.

Don't associate this part of the Republic with Lubbock. Amarilloans don't like to be mentioned in the same breath with Lubbock.

We noticed armed law enforcement escorted the umps on and off the field EVERY game there in Lubbock. Probably campus cops, but armed none the less. Never seen that before.
Nice thing was how fast the tech fans discoverd other placed the NEEDED to be after the 6th or so Saturday. While the remaining fans still outnumbered us the 50+ of us, they were subdued enough it was like we owned their nice little stadium.
Maybe the tech players dog piling in front of our dugout after their win Fri night was the best possible thing for our team's focus. Or maybe it had nothing to do w anything, but I don't remember us putting up many crooked numbers in the 9th when the game's pretty much decided.
