Laminate/Hardwood Flooring

Looking to do some remodeling on a condo. Any suggestions on where to find inexpensive laminate or hardwood flooring in the Dallas area?
Gracias for the help!

also check out a place called Floor & Decor... I'm pretty sure Dallas has one...

Go for real wood. I have had several friend do laminate and others do hardwood. It is night and day. It will cost a little more...but well worth it especially for resale.

Re: Laminate/Hardwood Flooring [re: HatDaddy]

if you do real wood make sure you shop around... I had maybe 7 different flooring contractors give me bids on my house... they ranged from $7.50 sqft to $15 sqft for the new floors and from $2.50 sqft to $6.50 sqft for the refinishing of the old floors.... shoe molding is cheap across the board..

and mind you, I had ALL the contractors bid the project to the same exact specs... the floors HAD to match the prexisting ones from 1960... I have no clue how they justify such differences in prices... my guy was quick, efficient, responsive and did a hell of a job... he was also the cheapest bid, but came as a referral from a friend so I knew the work was top notch... the guy didn't speak a lick of english which might explain his lower prices, but that matters not to me as I'm fluent in spanish..

I am not sure of the name of the place, I think it is called the Laminate Store. It is on Shady trail right off of NW Highway. They are only open on SAT - SUN. They have a lot to choose from.

Re: Laminate/Hardwood Flooring [re: HatDaddy]

Thanks for all the input. I'm looking to have about 7-800 sq feet done. Don't have the exact measurements in front of me. I'll call the Palo Duro place and see what they can maybe quote me on. I'm new to all this, but I do want to learn.

Anyone have experiences, good or bad, with Home Depot's flooring department? I don't want to use them, but that's where my wife went today and she's all excited.
