"Single most ridiculous statement..."

"....that anybody's ever uttered."

He's got a point. Only SIX Big 12 QBs managed to score more against ou than Tebow.

Colt = 45
Reesing = 31
Freeman = 35
Ganz = 28
aggy = 28
Robinson = 41

Yeah, sorry. He'd be 7th.

How many big 12 QB's could run that offense, with the talent Tebow has and beat a team like OU. Probably atleast 4.

Re: "Single most ridiculous statement..." [re: Ft Riley Horn]

That's the thing that bothered me - I mean if you want to disagree with the statement that's fine, but to ridicule it? When Colt, Tebow and Bradford were in NY, everyone talked about how they were so even, and they were all deserving. So why is it so unthinkable to rate Bradford and McCoy ahead of him, along with a guy who certainly put up enough big numbers to be in the conversation?

Granted I'd take Tebow over Harrell and Bradford any day, personally. But I'm pretty happy with the one throwing for us.

Actually, the single most ridiculous statement I heard tonight was when this same announcer said that Tebow was "indisputably" the greatest dual threat QB in the nation. Really? REALLY? I think not. I'm willing to bet there are many people who can/will dispute that statement. Hook 'em Colt.

How about the statement that Bradford is the most accurate QB in the NCAA? Do these announcers watch much college football?

They got lost one time and didn't even know what down it was when Oklahoma was near the goal until the final fourth down.

When are you guys gonna figure out that FOX is a NFL network. They do ZERO college games throughout the season then they broadcast the "supposedly" most important games at the the end of the year. Do you really expect the announcers to be informed as herbsteit, corso, musberger, etc.

FOX is TEH SUCK

The announcers also said something along the lines of "Tebow is the undisputed top leader in college football today." I mean, top leader yes, no, maybe. But, "undisputed"? Give me a [censored] break.

Or how about when Tebow got the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty towards the end of the game the announcer said some like "that may have been the first thing he's ever done wrong". Give me a freakin' break!

Re: [re: Ft Riley Horn]

When are you guys gonna figure out that there are two parts to the modern football broadcast. One part, the game, is for dedicated football fans. Part two, the social game played by expert analyzers, are for wanna be/recreational/foreign/forced to watch/ignorant fans. Two games in one = more headcount for advertisers. Rather than trying to follow both games, thus ruining the main event, the social game needs to be muted by dedicated football fans. If only we could have crowd noise, oh well.

Eventually there needs to be two choices on the remote, 1. an anouncer calling the real game (ala Kern Tips) OR 2. the football analyzer party complete with mega statistics, all the inside dope you needed to know about the players/analyzers relatives. And the biggest subject, miscellaneous, along with tutorial videos, all the while jamming every advertisement possible in the background and foreground.

I thought I heard that. I doubt that even mental patients engage in less idiotic rambling than Fox announcers.

I think I agree with that OU cornerback. Teabows stats were not that great. He threw two TD's, two picks. That #1 won the game for the Gators.

Texas would have beaten both of those teams. Same w/ USC

I couldn't hear it because it was muted at the bar, but why did the camera keep showing the relay between the OU OC in the booth --> signaling coach on the sideline --> Bradford watching the signals --> change in formation?

Doesn't every team do that? Okie State even has ridiculous code signs for that purpose.

The entire telecast was horrible, but this is the statement that absolutely pissed me off. Obviously their homework was conducted with Big Game Bob who seems to really believe 45-35 didn't occur.
