ok we wonb't take money from the other schools, lets just take all the money that the tv deal gives us (including appearance money) and divide it by 10.
Sounds fair. Are you guys in?

In reply to:
can we change the "poor Aggy" chant to "welfare" instead?
This.
Okay, let me see if I have this straight. So the 5 schools (mentioned above & in article) have proposed forfeiting their take of the EXITING SCHOOLS FEES? i.e. NU & CU
A&M is stomping their feet because they want to get paid to get out of deep doo doo debt, which was no one else's causation but their own. They want $20M that they were promised (in revenues BTW) and they don't care how they get it, they want it because of the "but we were promised it" argument.
A&M is an anomaly in every aspect imaginable.
Let's say that this is strictly a business move to ensure they pay off their debt sooner rather than later. Did any entity force them into the debt in the first place? No. Did Beebe structure a deal (albeit verbally structured) to save the Big XII and "promised" the top 3 schools (this is so debatable about #3) will receive $20M in revenues. Now the 5 schools mentioned had agreed to give up their parts of the departing schools’ fees TO the “big three” to make sure they reached the $20 million? Yes.
So... A&M responds first by going to the media and issuing threats of leaving (again) if they don't get this proposal approved? Seriously, who is the whining child in this scenario?
If this doesn't clearly demonstrate that A&M is forever "on the nipple*", then I don't know what does.
*My apologies to our female Hornfans community if this quote may offend.
Aggy... simply pathetic.

A deal is a deal. On this one, I agree with the Ags.

We're in, but we insist on a rider to this agreement:
You have to win at least one TV game a year to get your 10 percent.

Hey texas, you cannot make Longhorn TV and we are doing equal revenue sharing.
Whats the big deal, it wasn't a "real" deal anyway. That is fair.

This is nothing other than extortion and will continue until they finally run off to the SEC where they will have to spend more to keep up with their new found friends. The issue then will be paying still more money for lesser results.
This is why the Big XII is a dead conference walking. As soon as Texas has its network up and running, Texas and ou sucks will give the Big XII the finger and go to the PAC-10/12 or whatever.
The "we had to spend to keep up" argument holds no water. Their issues start and end with Dollar Bill, and he was their choice. The Children of the Corn probably are still saying a thank you prayer daily.
MC: Willie, do you remember your first performance?
Willie: Hell, I don’t remember the one I just finished!

1. A&M was heading the SEC w/ or w/o OU/Horns. That became readily apparent when Mike Slive decided to spend the weekend in BCS.
2. What wasnt expected was BU alums threatening to w/hold PAC money to Perry's campaign...and then decided to incentivize it.

Aggy invite to the SEC was offered in conjunction with either ou sucks or Texas going with them. Poor Aggy. Dollar Bill spent millions improving their lessor sports because he get $ when they win them.

If they leave, we get all their money and they would have to pay penalties for leaving early, giving us even more money. I say let them go.

What's really stupid here is awarding aggy equal financial billing with Texas and OU. If Beebe and the Big 12 truly did that as the article and previous posters have said, then no wonder this conference is [censored].
Imagine if Hollywood operated as ignorantly and paid Gerard Butler, Matt Damon and Carrot Top the same rate to appear in an upcoming action blockbuster.
