Anyone know of a replay on a REAL t.v. station? LHN might replay it a thousand
times and it would be viewed by four people.

It'll be on ESPNU probably a hundred times over the summer.

That seems more like wishful thinking than anything grounded in reality. I assume you are assuming that because it has been the case in the past. But that, as far as I know, is only for games that originall aired on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. I hope you're right, since I don't have LHN either, but I fear you may be mistaken.

In years past the Spring game was originally aired on Fox SSW, and then rebroadcast on ESPNU or one of those channels.

Why do we emphasize the fade so much? If you don't have a big tall athletic receiver with great hands, along with a QB that is consistently accurate, the fade sucks.

I don't think that is true. The spring game had been on FSSW. 1 year it was on ESPN. That same year it was rebroadcast on the ESPN family of networks.

Nope. ESPNU showed our game against KU in reruns, which originally aired on LHN. I wouldn't worry too much about getting to see it at all, as it was a typical "Spring Game" with very little substance.

LHN? What's that? Never head of it.

It's on BevoD if anybody around Austin still subscribes to that.

When watching the spring game replay, see if you can validate this statement from Bill "hyperbole" Little:
In reply to:
A crowd bordering on 50,000 stood and cheered as Ricky walked into the stadium
By "bordering" I guess he meant about 35K at the most....

The funny thing about the "50K" number is that it was floating around before the game started and seemed to be what the Athletic department had agreed to estimate the crowd to be before the festivities began. There was no effort to amend that decision as the crowd showed up in reality. I heard it mentioned several times before, during, and after the game. We were asked to go sit on the east side before the game so that the crowd would look good for the LHN broadcast, but as hot as it was, very few were willing to do that. The west side on the other hand was pretty well filled in from bottom to top though there was still plenty of room to squeeze in anywhere you wanted to sit. I'm guessing that if everyone in attendance had been sitting on the same side it would have been crowded between the goal lines, but that justifies a lot less than 50K in a stadium that fits 100K and a huge west side upper deck that was empty.

I stand corrected, I just remember watching it live or same day vividly on FSS and the watching a replay on ESPN later on ESPN and I thought that was really strange.
The reason I remembered that is because I thought it was so strange that they would allow that....oh well.
