IMO we'll miss all four of these guys next year. Personally, I'm going to miss Royal the most. If I recall he was a late signee coming out of prep school. Many of our fans wondered why in the hell Barnes recruited Royal. Even Royal's dad wondered why Barnes recruited Royal.

Royal - your defense is a pleasure to watch and will be greatly missed along with your great team leadership. You always look like your are having a great time playing which is why you are one of my favorites to ever wear burnt orange. You are also a great guy off the court, you always stop to talk to me on whenever I see you.

What can I say Royal with Cheese? When this team needed an identity this year, you stepped it up. Now we're on a roll and I know you can take this team back to the final four. I love that you work so hard on both ends of the court. I hope you follow through on your plans to stay in Austin after you graduate.

such a team player and team leader and you help control the game. You have stepped up as a go to guy many times and I think you are a class act.
You have speed and a cool head, hand. You will be missed.

There has never been a more solid all around player and man to play basketball for UT than you, Royal. You will leave this program in grat condition and I hope you understand that you are one of the main reasons all of us Texas fans can be so proud of our program.
Knowing that you are from NY, I hope you will always feel welcome to call Texas your home as well.
Also, I would like you to know that you are leaving Texas as #1 on my personal list of favorite Texas players of all time. You have surpassed TJ and I didn't think that would ever happen but I can't overlook the fact that you have given everything you have for Ut for four straight years. Good luck and please make Austin your home.

you are a VERY exciting player to watch. It's been a lot of fun watching your game mature of the past years. you have been clutch for this team on so many different occasions. your motor always keeps on going. Good luck to you.

I'm going to miss that sound! What a joy it has been to experience your commitment to Longhorn Basketball - talk about leadership...you have exemplified it. Nobody has worked harder on the court than you. Thanks a million for the joyride last year - the game you guys won that took you to the Final Four will always be one of the big highlights of my life, what a thrill. Don't forget us here in Austin - actually i hope you will always think of Austin as a home. May God continue to bless and keep you.

Royal, always known for his lock-down defense, but made some great strides on offense this season, including some clutch jumpers that kept the team in some games! You will be missed! Here's to you and the other three seniors going out with a return trip to the Final Four!!!!!

Royal,
It has been a pleasure to watch you play for Texas these last four years. I will never forget the intense defense you applied to just about every opponent you faced. This past year, you took on an even larger role when this team needed a hero.
I will never forget the clutch shots you made against Nebraska and Mizzou. I swear my vertical grew ten inches after you made those shots. You are a classy guy and you will be sorely missed. Good luck to you in the NBA or whatever you decide to do in life.

You are one of the hardest working players on the team whether it be with your incredible defense or your clutch shots. You have been an awesome leader to this team! It has been a joy to watch you play and a little fearful at times when you get knocked down, but you always get back up! I love how much heart you have for the game! Me and my fellow ROYAL girls at the A&M game in College Station wish you luck! Thanks for all you have done for Texas basketball!

Thanks for a tremendous 4 years. One of the reasons that I moved back to Texas after 16 years in CA is that I want to go to the basketball games.
Seriously. Life is short and it's the little things, like going to a great game, or experiencing a great season like the last two, that make it enjoyable.
Thanks to you and your teammates for a great run. Y'all will be missed. Hook'm horns.

Wow...I'm going to miss seeing you play in burnt orange so much! You have truly shown us all how a longhorn should play and act. You stepped up big time this year and have really helped the horns have another outstanding season. You have always been one of my favorite players, not just because you are fun to watch and a class act, but you play hard and will get on the floor for lose balls. Offense is always important but defense wins game. Your defense has helped the horns with all their success. Thank you for the memories!!!! Good luck to you!!

Mr. Clutch has proven to be a great leader along with these great seniors. Excellent feel for when the team needs a drive, a dish, or a spark at just the right time, throughout his career on the 40. Here's to another final four and beyond for Royal and these seniors who deserve it so much as they continue to take this program to new levels.

Hey Royal, I am just thrilled for you that you have put together such an amazing senior season to top off your stellar career. What a bunch of thrills you have provided us fans this year and throughout your career, and I'm sure you will take a lot of great memories with you from on and off the court here at Texas when your time is done.

It's been an honor being a student the same 4 years you played here. I am left with a lifetime full of great memories. The tourney your freshman year was dissapointing, but I guess that helped build the necessary hunger to achieve all of the amazing feats that have been accomplished throughout your career. Sophmore year was a ton of fun, and junior year was unforgettable. I can't wait to see what March and hopefully April will bring to the table this year. Your clutch shooting and intense defense will never be forgotten. Hookem.

I'm so glad you came from N.Y. to Texas to play ball. Your solid defense scares every opponent that comes near you. People thought that we would not rise again with the departure of TJ, but you took over the team and disproved that notion. Thanks for all the memories that you and your fellow seniors have given us over the past 4 years. Kick some ass in the tournament!

Royal,
I know you have heard it before and you think you understand, but some day you will look back on your senior season and realize what you were able to accomplish.
It wasn't the Final Four run last year, and it wasn't the great run that you are still on this year. It is about consistency, showing up every day, being selfless and playing defense and putting the team before yourself. I will always remember these things about you and the way you played the game.
You are the living example of "its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog". Congrats on one hell of a senior season and career.
Hook em and stay close to the Longhorn family.
I'd rather be a one minute wonder than a one pump chump.

you know, I am kind of like Dorothy, and you are kind of like the Scarecrow. I might just miss you the most of all. Your defense was certainly consistently good, but you came up clutch so many times. good luck, you can call yourself a Texan any day.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to UT b-ball the last 4 years. I enjoyed watching you blanket opposing guards, create havoc in transition, and sink clutch baskets. The legacy you and the other seniors created will not be forgotten. Good luck to you in your future endeavors.
