JT is my favorite Longhorn basketball player because of the way he plays the game - intense. No rebound is getting past him. Thanks for being a great player. I will definitely miss seeing JT wearing burnt orange, with the white socks of course.

I remember JT from your very first Orange and White game. You were someone I pointed out to a friend as a future star. I think I was right...
Thanks for all you have meant to the team and the university. See you in San Antonio.

S.O.S. I remember first starting the chant when the Ozone was more than half empty. When you look at what it is today, it really is a testament to you seniors. You have put Texas Bball on the map to stay and you take that with you forever. I'll never forget chest bumping you at a bus sendoff last year............you knocked me back a few feet, but I've been working out and think I could maybe hold my own this year. Anyway, continue to work hard and I look forward to seeing you box out Tim Duncan someday.

JT! What a fun time I have had watching you play at Texas. I cringe everytime you go after a board or a lose ball because I know you are going to be going with everything you have and I fear for your safety. I have never seen someone be able to play with such amazing intensity and still be under total control the whole time.
I hope you understand what you mean to all of the fans of UT basketball. You and the other seniors have given all of us a gift that we could never repay. As I said about Royal as well, I hope you will always consider Austin your home even though your from NY. I know you are SOS and that will always be home to you but remember you have a home here as well. Good Luck the rest of the way. I wish it would never end.

JT. Just saying those two words and everyone knows who a person is talking about: The Rebound King of Texas!!!
It has been a pleasure watching you play here at Texas for four years. I will never forget your games against Oklahoma last year where you completely dominated them.
You are a perfect example of hard work and unselfishness. I will miss chanting "S.O.S." next year here at Texas, but everytime I see you do something fantastic in the NBA, I will make sure to chant it no matter where I am!!!
Good luck to you, and God Bless you, JT.

JT thanks for everything that you represent and all that you brought to the game. Rarely do you find a player or man for that matter that is willing to put team ahead of self so willingly. You tenacous effort and intensity have been a sight to behold. I have so many memories of you in there fighting and scraping for every last rebound. The way you play basketball is a great metaphor for life. Thank you for the example you set for teammates and fans. Congrats on your records and the player and person you are.

JT,
What can I say? You have been part of the heart and soul of this team throughout your four years here! You have shown leadership to your teammates. You have been there to pump up the crowd with an amazing dunk or a killer block! You will be forever known as SOS to the fans! I wish you lots of luck in your future endeavors! Thanks for all you have done for Texas Basketball!

Thanks for a tremendous 4 years. One of the reasons that I moved back to Texas after 16 years in CA is that I want to go to the basketball games.
Seriously. Life is short and it's the little things, like going to a great game, or experiencing a great season like the last two, that make it enjoyable.
Thanks to you and your teammates for a great run. Y'all will be missed. Hook'm horns.

James,
SOS!!!! What a great 4 years it has been!! I'm so glad you got the rebounding record because you earned that. You have put in so much hard work that it payed off. If only I could rebound like you...than maybe I'd have a shot playing ball somewhere! JT, you are going to be missed not only for your rebounding skills but for your passion for the game and hard work. You are fun to watch and I will miss you!!
You are still one of the most intimidating guys I've ever seen! Good luck JT!!!!!

Big James, wow, what a career you have had here at Texas. To whup up on a record that stood for 22 years really says something about the contributions you made to this team during you four years.
More importantly, you and your teammates have had four great years with great results, all 20-plus winning season and a final four appearance and who knows how for you guys go this year! And you have set something in motion here that will continue for many years to come--a b-ball program to be feared.
I hope you have had a great four years in Austin and will be able to capitalize on your experiences here so that you will always be happy and successful in life.
As a fan in the seats, let me say thatnks for the thrills and we will all miss you.

JT is the reason (along with Boddicker at times) that the T in Texas stands for toughness. He's a Bo Outlaw reincarnation who can score, too. Congratulations on a great career, JT!

It has meant so much to all UT fans to watch you play basketball for the past 4 years. You brought a passion to the game and a love for your teammates that was greater than any I have ever seen. I remember when TJ was a freshman and you guys were playing in Stillwater, and you came off the bench to protect him from the rabid OSU fan; I still get chills when I think about it. The story about you staying in Austin two summers ago to help mentor Brad also comes to mind. Not to mention that you are the leading rebounder in Texas Basketball history; that is quite an accomplishment.
I know your senior season didn't turn out the way you had hoped, and from the quotes in the paper it sounded like you were pretty upset about what happened. Just know that it didn't matter to the fans whether you scored 20 points or 2; the energy you brought to the court was in itself worthy of much praise. And we will never forget that. Congratulations on an amazing career, and good luck to you whever your life takes you. No matter what happens, you will always be a Longhorn. Thank you for the past four years. Hook'em.

JT,
Out of the whole group of Seniors I think your passion for the game was most evident. It was infectious - and even this year when you may not have been at your best physically you still came off the bench and sparked the team. All the hard work you put in paid off (we could tell by the way you gradually filled out those lumberjack shoulders) and will continue to do so in the future. Thanks for the memories!
