It can't be true! Time goes by so fast, it seems like yesterday that we were celebrating the announcement of the recruiting coup in Cory Redding's UT committment.
Since then there have been so many memories of games well played, and of your wonderful family members who have been such a pleasure to be surrounded by at games and tailgates. I might even forgive Tyrone for winning the chili cookoff.
As my wife likes to say, Cory has those "movie star looks" and a winning personality.
I will miss most Cory's TV and radio comments-he became the favorite interview of the local media, and always had something worthwhile to add without resorting to cliches. The comments on Monday nights Mack Brown radio show brought tears to my eyes.
Horn fans know Cory will succeed in pro ball, and with that can-do attitude, in whatever he tries in life.
Alright, we'll reluctantly allow Cory to move on, but not Mary and Tyrone. They have to stay.

Cory-
I am so proud of your accomplishments at Texas. You are truly a wonderful representative of UT. I can't wait to watch you tear it up on Sundays next year.
I will always remember your interception vs North Carolina. Man, that was a thing of beauty. I still don't know how a guy your size can do a somersault that high in the air. Best of luck.

Has it been 4 years already? I guess time flies when you're having fun. We've enjoyed watching you cause havoc on the opposing offenses. All the luck in the NFL big guy.

Air Cory, thats what I have called you ever since that INT against UNC in 2001. That was the play of the year in my book. Never forget your roots, you are one of the greatest players in the history of this school, and the Longhorn faithful will be there in any time of need throughout and after your pro career. You will always have a home in Austin.

Honest leadership. Great play combined with integrity. That's what have brought to Texas. We are so much better for it. We learned alot, especially about summersaults into the endzone. We learned the your value to this program was greater than your play on the field because of the respect that you generated for yourself and the University. Ain't no party like a long horn party, cause a long horn party got Corry, say what......Thanks man. Your big orange family will be watching and supporting you the rest of your life. So go get 'em and do it with your own style.

Thanks Cory for the way you have represented the University. I'm especially gonna miss the way you handled defeat. You were always the first person, head held high, to walk to the UT section to sing the Eyes of Texas. You knew you could do this b/c it was always obvious that you gave 110% on the field. Please pass the "team leader" torch on to someone who can represent our University as well as you have for the last 4 years. Thanks again and good luck in the NFL.

I'll always remember the day I was there to watch your first collegiate sack in the '99 Stanford game. All game long I was looking forward to watching you line up at end for the first time and, once you did, you certainly didn't disappoint. I remember thinking to myself, "All these people who left the game early, they just missed the first collegiate sack of a potential future NFL All-Pro."
Let's hope you prove me right.

Cory: I remember before you even arrived, the guys who had season tickets behind us were always talking you up and telling us to watch out for Cory Redding next year. When you came in as a freshman, they would always point out every time you came into the game or made a big play. Thanks for the memories and good luck. God bless!

Cory,
WOW have you been fun to watch.. such an exciting few seasons for Texas football.
I remember when I first met you, I asked for your autograph for my son, you said "ya, where's your son" then gave me a crooked smile. I pointed to him in a crowd of kids, you just laughed. then you signed one for him and myself. You as all the Srs. will be missed..My son thinks it's cool that you watch Dragon Ball Z.... The Replacments is a fav or ours as well.. nice to have common interest, makes it fun.
God Bless and Best of Luck in the future..

Cory, I had the pleasure of meeting your family at a few tailgate parties and I can see where you got your class and your work ethic. You have represented The University of Texas so well and I hope that whatever you do after you graduate will be everything you'd hoped it would be. Personally, I think you are going to be sacking QBs in the NFL for years to come and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Hook 'Em! ~ Robert
