Re: Chris Simms [re: LonghornGirlie]

Chris,

Thank you for everything you brought to the The University. Your leadership, athletic abilities and patience were great inspirations to both the fans and the team. I remember watching you 4 years ago in Freshman practice and I just thought "wow!". And in every game you've played in sicne then, there is always at least one (often times dozens!) of plays that you've made when I think the same thing. I wish you luck in the NFL and know that you will be an asset to any team that is lucky enought to choose you.

Thank you Chris, you will be missed by many

Chris,

I wish i had your strength and courage.

It's been really fun watching you play.

You are the best thing that's happened to this program, since DKR came to coach.

Best of luck in your future.

Chris,

Despite what critics and "fans" have said over the years, you have been instrumental in the turnaround of the Texas program. The way you handled adversity and criticism positively reflected what it means to be a Longhorn. Best of luck in the NFL. Thanks for all you've done for UT.

Re: Chris Simms [re: LonghornGirlie]

Chris,

It's been a wild ride watching you grow from a precocious freshman starting against Texas A&M to seeing you pick apart Nebraska's secondary as a senior. Through all the ups and downs in your career at Texas -- and there was definately more ups than downs -- you handled the pressure with a grace and maturity few your age have. Keep striving to be the best you can be and surely you will have success on the next level.

God bless you and good luck in the future, Chris.

Chris:

thanks for everything you have done on and off the field. with all the [censored] you have had to put up with, you just kept your mouth shut and kept playing. the second half you played in Nebraska this year was AWESOME. some fans won't remember that one but will remember "the bad ones". i will remember Lincoln and the 2000 game agaisnt the aggies.

good luck n the NFL.

Chris, you had to put up with more than any young man ever should and shouldered that burden with class and character. You have represented the University in such a fine fashion in spite of the many times that you could have lashed out. Thank you for coming to Texas, Thank you for helping put our program back on the map, Thank you for all the wins and Thank you for being loyal to Texas even when many Texas fans were not loyal to you. You will always be a Longhorn and I look forward to continuing to cheer for you on Sundays for years to come.

Re: Chris Simms [re: LonghornGirlie]

Chris,
You're a fine young man and will be successful in anything you choose to do. Your Mom and Dad are to be commended because they raised you very well. You have been placed in difficult situations time and time again, and you've handled success and adversity as well as anyone I've ever seen. Good luck and have fun in your remaining games as a Longhorn, and may God bless.
