Soccer Week of March 8th

I'm hoping Valencia can score in the second half. If not, it will be the third straight game in spanish or italian leagues that has had my interest that finished 0-0. I should have bet the under.

I have had a bad couple of days with just missing on some big parleys. Champions league today. I have not looked at it, but will and post any plays. I am going to have to go with the 1 play a day approach until I get closer to even.

Re: Soccer Week of March 8th [re: general35]

Crap, sorry. I did not post my play. It was Arsenal ML. That was an easy victory. I also like Birmingham and Sunderland, but played conservatively and just went with the one play. Left money on the table, but at least am up a unit for the day.

ManU/AC Milan o2.5 and Stoke/Burnley o2.5. Got those in a parley with Real Madrid ML and Bordeaux ML (Bord is up 1-0 in the 62nd minute).

Re: Soccer Week of March 8th [re: general35]

Crap, sorry guys. Hope ya'll did not tail because my play was actually under 2.5 in the Stoke Burnley game and I put an "o" instead of a "u."

I went 2-0 with those wins, but lost the parley. Also added some plays on Real Madrid at the last minute, so I was down for the day.

Re: Soccer Week of March 8th [re: general35]

Good general, glad you got the under. Actually looked a little questionable when Burnley tied it up early in the 2nd.

I am doing a 10 pick streak survivor pick on covers and that was my first play.

I am pretty sure my second pick is going to be the Mexican league, Tecos ML against Indios. Indios is terrible. Really terrible.

Yeah, all the guys on covers were on Catania. They thought the line was too fishy to go with Inter. Sort of like my thoughts on the Texas/Baylor line last night, which did not work out for me.

I have Twente -1.5. Nervously watching the last 5 minutes of regulation up 3-1.

Re: Soccer Week of March 8th [re: general35]

yeah, i missed that one. both ACand Inter are playing like bottom feeders recently. a real waste of talent. cantania got 2 penalty kick goals i think. oh well, i got a split. maybe ill profit in hoops tonight.

Look at Tecos tonight against Indios in Mexican premier league. Indios is terrible. Tecos is not great either, but Indios is one of the worst teams I have ever seen.

Re: Soccer Week of March 8th [re: general35]

Yeah, general, I think you were safe with AZ. A 6-2 victory.

Tecos kicked ass on Friday night. Indios is horrible. Watch that trend. I was going to lay a major 5 units on it, but chickened out and just went with 2.5.

Liverpool and At. Madrid today. Liking both Liver at -1.5 and At. Madrid ML.

General - let me get on covers and check what the other guys are saying. I have not done a ton of capping on At. Madrid and have been known to mis-read that team a lot.

You are definitely right to be down on Liverpool, but they are playing at home against a reeling Portsmouth. Port can put up a fight, but only at home. I feel good about that one. But I'll check with the covers crew as well on that one and I'll be back to post.

well, portsmouth is the worst team in the premier league and liverpool is playing at home and has a lot to play for. they should win easy. i like chelsea a lot this week and to win big.

Re: Soccer Week of March 8th [re: general35]

Goal.com predicts Chelsea/Inter as a 1-1 final. Chelsea has been great against the bottom dwellers, but seems to have trouble with the better teams, even at home.

OK, after reading a few things, this is what I have done.

Liver -1.5
AM ML
Liver and AM ML parley
Liver/under and AM/under ML parley

1 unit on the first three plays each and a 1/4 unit on the 4th play.

I hit a big parley last night with the Ducks/Canucks so I am playing a little more than I normally would, but I am trying to get back to even by the weekend to make a run at getting paid next week.

GL today. Tournament madness starts Thursday!
