On early:
Texas -28 (righting a number of wrongs against Rice)
Auburn -2 (agree this may be too square, but I'll bite)
Miss -21 (Houston Nutt unleashes the dragon....or Masoli)
Houston -19 (this could be a closer game, but I'll take Houston to continue to roll here)
I really like Michigan but I am going to wait and watch the chatter and decide later this week. I also would be careful on the Oregon line. Tennessee can play some defense and Dooley is a good coach. This line would have been 6 or 7 if Oregon did not run it up on NM.

BTW, 2-2-1 on posted plays. Mixed bag on unposted plays. Ended the weekend about even.
EPL is back this weekend as well if anyone wants to talk soccer. Or I can start a new thread.

Very few plays opening week. 3-1 on posts.
Have played Michigan +4.5 and Bama -10.5 thus far.
Michigan completely outplayed a pretty good team on Saturday, and appears to have made great strides defensively. Everyone made a big deal about his running, but Dennard Robinson threw the ball well also. ND still looks too slow and without playmakers. I like Michigan on the road, even with a couple of injuries.
More of a gut play with Bama. I just see this game getting ugly with a freshman QB on the road.
About ready to get on So Car with AJ Green's status up in the air.

I do have 2 big plays for Sat. Ok St. and BYU. Troy is in a rebuilding year and Ok St. should be able to take care of them by 3 or more TD's. The line on the BYU/Airforce game is way off. Airforce is airforce, BYU beats them good every year. The game is at airforce but BYU is currently +1. It opened Airforce -3 and has moved down. The early sharp money has bet these 2 games heavy.

The fear I have with Auburn is the Thurs night dog factor and MSU gave Florida all it wanted last year.

Thursday night:
I cant get a read on Miss St./Auburn tomorrow. Auburn is really young. I think they played 14 Freshmen in their first game. Their qb is phenomenal apparently but I'm just not sold yet. Miss St. has a new coach and is improved and at home on a thursday night. It looks like a toss up to me. Auburn was a bad road team last year and covered only 1 game i think and their defense is suspect. I do like central michigan getting 7.5 tomorrow. cm has a good line and the temple defense isnt that great. they had a hard time getting off the field against villanova. if anybody has any good insight on auburn game, let me know.

He is decent, a sophmore. They shut out hampton last week. hampton is one of those Div. 1-2a schools or whatever the class is but their football teams are usually ranked and they usually make the playoff semi's every year. not saying central michigan will win but theuy are good enough to keep it close. i may tease them with auburn.

The road dog on Thursday night concerns me quite a bi for Auburn, but they seem to have an offense now with the dual threat QB and their defense has always been solid (after a rough 1H last week). Give me Auburn ML.

nice Job General. Tailed you on all of those..only problem was that I got Nawlins at -5.5. Bad luck as it shifted to 5 moments after I got it. Oh well..dem's the breaks. I like your UTEP play tomororw night. Ill be ridin the miners as well.
At this time, I have no feel for marshall v WV in the early game. Too tough for me to call in a rivalry game like that. Unless anyone has a heavy lean on that one, Its prob a no play for me.

Week 2 plays:
Georgia +3.5
I know everyone saw south carolina look good on national tv but Georgia quietly looked good at home with a new QB last week. Even without AJ Green, plenty of playmakers for Georgia to keep this one close. Watch for Georgia's D to assert itself in this one.
Florida St. +8
Not one to take the Noles very often, Jimbo Fisher's squad is lively enough to challenge the sooners. Look for Stoops bunch to bounce back but it may not be enough. Interesting to see Mark Stoops DC for Florida St. and how he handles the Sooner offense which obviously knows well.
BYU +1
Rode these guys last week and while the 2 qb rotation may look ugly both guys looked adequate. Just feel like this is a soft number even on the road
@Bama -11.5
National champs defense smother Penn St. and pull away late.
@Okie St. -13.5
Another repeat of last week. Troy loses its OC to tech and doesn't have enough firepower to keep up with the Okie St. offensive machine.
Others:
Iowa St. +
Syracuse +
@baylor -
Colo St. +
Virginia +

I'm om BYU and Ok St. heavy as well.. They are my top 2 plays for weekend. Those others could go either way for me and I probably will not touch them but good luck. I actually like OU this weekend at home and expect them to bounce back. Fl. St. is still Fl St. in my opinion and will struggle against a good team but maybe jimbo has got this teams act together.
**I actually changed my utep play to a teaser with w. virgina teased down to -6.5. W. virginia should beat marshall by 2 td's but i gave myself a little cushion with the teaser and its not for a lot, i just want some action on a friday.

general - hate to go against the hot hand, but I love Houston tonight. Think they take care of business in a big way.
1-0 last night with Auburn, although I think that was a really square play, just got lucky that they held on.
In addition to the above, I like:
Texas A&M -19.5
Arkansas -34
Michigan +4
Like the board plays with BYU and Okie State and will tail.
Doing various teaser with Texas Tech, Nevada, Arkansas, and California as I think these teams cover but want to get a cushion just in case.
Good luck everyone.

I agree, after looking at the UH game more closely, I am off it. I see UH winning by 24 or so. The only concern is the UH defense which usually stinks. These games have recently been in the 50-40, 40-30 range.
Tomorrow, my main plays are BYU, Ok. St., Arkansas, A&M, michigan, USC and a few others i will play for fun. I do like TX tomorrow but in a teased down situation.
