I guess to watch on tv but maybe in general. I am going to make it on tv because I have not seen 3 of them in person but would love to.
1. College Football
2. World Class Soccer
3. Australian Rules Football
4. World Rally Racing Championship Racing
5. Formula 1 Racing
The last two flip flop and I am newer to F1 so it is gaining ground. The track coming here is huge. I don't watch a lick of NBA or MLB. I like NFL well enough but nowhere near the level of college.
I like NCAA hoops if it is teams I like and March Madness but that is only once a year.
How 'bout you?

Fun. I'll play:
1. College Football
2. NFL (maybe closer to 1A and 1B...)
3. NBA
4. ATP Tennis
5. UFC/ MMA
... with honorable mention to NCAA Basketball. But really, I love competition and will watch most sports/events where I can develop some sort of emotionally invested following.
Dumb question, by world class soccer you mean soccer played outside the USA? I'm not familiar with soccer leagues...

As you can see, I'm pretty much a mainstream sports guy, with emphasis on football over others, college over pros.
For sporting events that I love to attend but I don't care to follow on TV, I really enjoy going to hockey games and NASCAR races. It's pretty damn cool to see NASCAR races about 50 feet from the track, and the entertainment value of watching NASCAR crowds is worth the price of admission alone.

soccer (at any level) is completely unwatchable.
i would honestly rather watch fishing, or women's golf, or a little league game.
as daniel tosh would say... soccer's the most popular sport in the world thanks to 3rd world countries. kickin a ball around a giant field is HUGE fun for them.
and the only reason our country ever loses a soccer game is because all our good athletes are playin REAL sports.
so... my list is as follows:
1. college football
2. nfl
3. college basketball
4. college baseball
5. women's college basketball

Not dumb at all. I meant like the professional leagues in Europe, the events like the World Cup, the Africa's Cup, the Euro Cup and things like that. Also included are the qualifying of CONCACAF (the division the U.S. and Mexico are in) and international matches the U.S. play in.
I am getting back to watching MLS games but have not really followed it since moving from D.C. back to Texas. While there I caught just about all the D.C. United games live.

1. College football
2. MLB (Baseball is in my blood so in spite of its faults and in spite of how bad my team is - Astros - I'm still a huge fan of the MLB)
3. College Baseball
4. NHL (I know it's a northern league but I watch the league and in particular the stanley cup playoffs in part because of the sportsmanship that is generally shown in that league
5. Wimbledon (Never been a big fan of tennis but I do love Wimbledon and try to watch it every year)

n6, you have a college/pro double decker sammich there!
I love seeing the variety and subtle differences in many of these. Some are very different and that's cool too. I think the general commonality is College Football.
I like Tennis quite a bit and I guess that would make the list just after the 5 slot. I agree with Husker that Wimbledon is something special. It's too bad Jai Alai is not on tv.

Now the last two were tough on me. I prefer Horns basketball over any NBA team. However, if you were to ask me who would I rather watch Celtics v. Magic or Syracuse v. UConn in the regular season, I would probably take the NBA because the superstars of CBB come and go after a year nowdays. There is no sense of continuity. The Tournament is great, but that lasts a couple of weeks.

It's not so much an NBA thing as it is a basketball thing. Football and baseball have always been my two favorite sports with basketball coming in third. I do like the NCAA hoops tournament but to me that's the best time to watch that sport.

TP, what is the general sentiment of HS football fans in OK about the Horns landing a top recruit from there? I think here we are used to some kids going there but due to the smaller size it does not happen the other way around as much. How do you feel about it?

There is some anger among the idiots, but I don't know why.
If the kid wants to go to Texas, let him go. We raid Texas yearly and it never ceases to amaze me how crazy OU fans get about one or two guys.

Akina can recruit his ass off too! Look at the talent he has gotten and what he has produced. Vasher was not super regarded and Akina went after him and things turned out okay. Once Muschamp gets that polish down pat and finishes learning the ropes about finesse from Mack, yeah, it's gonna get interesting.

To be fair, #5 is not much on video, but it's superb live and up close.
One night many years ago, I first saw Robert Earl Keen sing, and he introduced a song (mighta been the Buckin' Song) by describing his rodeo career as lasting 15 seconds: five bulls, three seconds apiece. I thought, "Well, hell, this guy can't be all bad, his rodeo career was thirty times longer than mine, which lasted half a second on one bull - the boys pulled that gate, the bull left, and I didn't - good thing the ground was so soft in the chute. Later, it dawned on me that the bull riders were all a foot shorter than me and their arms were as big around as my legs. I admit to being ugly, but not stupid, and that was the last time this ol' boy got on a bull...

4. NHL (yes hockey)

College Hoops is pretty much March Madness unless its the Horns on TV. Baseball I can watch in person but not so much on TV, the season is just too long. UFC stuff, I've tried but cant get into it. I'd rather watch curling than the NBA.

Yeah, TV-wise, I guess I'd put hockey ahead of Rodeo... I've never been to a hockey game in person, but I do enjoy a game on the tube. I kinda like the game on a Euro/Olympic rink a little better, tho'...

Vasher was not super regarded and Akina went after him and things turned out okay
That is the thing about some coaches......they know a player when they see one and they don't give a damn where he is rated. Bradford and McCoy.....Shipley, Q.....there are examples forever. Those are the coaches who win titles.lMO
