Some have said that GG should have one more year because of the recruits coming in next year. Do you know who the recruits are? What about the tall girl from CA, I don't remember her name? Is she just committed, or did she sign in an early signing period?

recruits
Here's the Top 100. We have #10 Stafford from CA who is 6'7". We have #70 Empress Davenport a guard from Duncanville. Those are the big recruits, there might be others since we are losing 3, I'm sure other posters on here can comment.
If you're thinking recruits are going to salvage this train wreck I'd think again. I can already hear the excuses for why we finish in the bottom half of the Big 12 next year. We are young, no experience at guard or post. There are no juniors on this year's team. So next year will be a very, very young team. Chassidy, Cokie & Bass will be the juniors. A 6'7" player isn't going to help you if you don't have the ability to get the ball into the post. I am not optimistic.

espn recruits
Sara Hattis was listed as considering Texas & Purdue for basketball. My understanding is she signed to play volleyball for Texas. Does anyone know if she will also play basketball?

Hattis is a VB recruit and will not play BB. As mentioned we have two recruits next year, #10 and 6'7 Stafford, and Empress Davenort, Hoopgurlz #70, who's team just won the Class 5A State Championship. She was named the State Tourney MVP, and her squad is now #1 in the nation in the MaxPreps Freeman rankings. That is our full class next year because we don't have any juniors, and already have our 2013 class full as well. The big year for us will be 2014 as we have 6 openings to fill in that class.

Hattis is smart. Stick to a winning program.... our Volleyball program merits accolades.

Empress can play PG although I don't know that she was recruited for that position specifically. We are in the running for two top PGs, one in the class of 2013 and one in the class of 2014.
