One is about to go to jail for being a crook, and what party nominated him to being a heartbeat away from being POTUS?

let me get this straight according to many Dems and the medai lapdogs. Sarah Palin was a horrid mother for not staying at home
and remember, just a few months ago Michelle Bachman was a bad mother for being a congressional rep and not staying at home
NOE the Dems message is Ann romeny is a know nothing example who can't possible understand economics or anything because she did stay home?
Does that mean the Dems will denigrate and insult all the poor single Moms who stay at home too?
I wonder if the DNV and BO Camoaing thought of that when they denigrated Ann?

You had no idea who Hillary Rosen was until yesterday. One consultant cannot wage a war. You need the full complement of activists and politicians to attack women.
So it needs to be somebody that is well known for it to be an issue? Ever heard of this Hillary?

Let's see how it shakes out. A Democratic political pro makes a stupid statement about Mrs. Romney and Republican-dominated Legislatures around the country try to take control of a woman's impregnated uterus. Which will impact the vote more? I don't think it's fair or productive to assume women don't identify with the Republican Party because they are stupid. And in swing states they are not leaning Republican.

Obviously a Romney victory gives Republicans four years to get the court stacked hard right enough to take down Roe vs. Wade. Some women are worried about reproductive freedom. The Daily Show had a hilarious take on this that might earn a little empathy and understanding for Republican-distrusting women. The Link

The topic of abortion is so controversial that I wish we could eliminate it from the political spectrum of problems. Crockett since you think women actually fear the reversal of R vs W if the republicans have control of government would you agree to a hypothetical compromise of the following?
1) New law specifically designed to make abortion legal in all 50 states forever. Bipartisan agreement to never repeal (again hypothetical)
2) No tax payer dollars will ever fund an elective abortion where the mother's life is not in danger. The one exception would be rape victims.
The idea being that women would not have to fear abortions ever becoming illegal but the tax payers wouldn't be on the financial hook for teenagers or adults who simply do not want to have the baby. They would have to pay for the surgery out of their own pocket if their private insurance wouldn't cover it.
Would this be a fair to pro-choice folks?
Would this be fair to pro-life folks?
If we removed this emotionally driven social issue I think we could get more accomplished as a country.

Just as Rosen shouldn't have criticized Ann Romney, neither should Mitt have presented his wife (qua working mother) as being a key voice in economic policy.
I am Nucky Thompson and I approve this message.

" as being a key voice in economic policy. "
What exactly did Romney say that led YOU to believe ann is a 'key voice" in economic POLICY?
provide a link of his words that you think support what you posted

Dems are supporitng the postion taken by cons in 2008 when they defended Sarah Palin for hiring people to take care of her special needs child while she sought fame and fortune outside of the home.

Glad you asked Horn6721. In Oklahoma they passed a law that declared a zygote a person worthy of state protection at conception. This would mean, for example, that a "morning after" pill would not be available to a woman who was the victim or rape, incest or simple bad judgement in men. I guess we all know about the "wand" insertion that was going to be mandated in Virginia before that backed off a national firestorm and require only abdominal ultrasounds required in Texas. There are the national and state attacks on Planned Parenthood, which in Texas have stripped a lot of resources available for women's health.
I'm not really an expert about how women feel, though before my last two marriages I thought I was a sensetive and empathetic guy. Sadly enough, I am a lot more empathetic than the average Republican politiican these day. I can promise you if I were putting together a senate panel of a dozen experts on religious liberty vs. insurance coverage of contraception for women I'd not have a panel that completely excluded woman. The robot in my head would go off start waving his arms wildly and say "Danger Will Robinson -- danger danger."
The Daily Show link I provided above and which I'll repeat here had a hilarious and insightful bit that dealt with a suggested amendment to the Oklahoma law that would make men responsible for wasted semen. The Link

This is a ridiculous statement, since no one from the right has criticized a woman making the decision to work. Dems on the other hand have decided that women who want to stay home and take care of kids are uninformed, out of touch and not eligible to enter into the public discourse.
